Sorry this is the first to update...its the first I've had the chance!
We arrived in Kinsale, Ireland on Sunday around 2pm. I had the WORST case of jet lag. All I wanted to do was rest my soul. However, I was to stay up, so we set out for touring our little harbour town. It's located in the southern region of Ireland. Our cottage is adorable, rich in history. The town is amazing. The thing I love most about Ireland are the little villages. They are all charming and quaint. Kinsale is no different. They have an actual town butcher. I supposed I assumed all the world had modernized to Publixes and Targets. St. Patrick's Day was filled with much singing and drinking...everywhere. We spent our holiday night at one of the oldest pubs in Ireland, The Spaniard. Interesting choice of name, right?
Tuesday we traveled (where I am presently) to Dublin. We've been doing some heavy shopping, and touring the city. Today we ventured to the Guinness Factory, and other places around the City Centre. Tomorrow we plan to visit Dublin Castle, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and Christ's Church.
Things I've discovered in Ireland...they are very blunt. In all the senses of the word, they use very direct names and they use VULGAR words in every day vernacular. Fuck, is NOT considered a curse word, and C yoU Next Tuesday is equivalent to calling someone an idiot. Smartly, Restroom=Toilet, Elevator=Lift, For Lease=To Let, and there are NO cars larger than a VW Jetta.
Anyways, there might be more soon. Internet is not as accessible as in the States.
