It's a new year...Two-thousand, eight, dammit.
I mean, you're supposed to "resolve" make your life different, more effective, and even enjoyable. I've done none of this. What kind of person does that make me? I like to think smarter because I "reflect." On the years past...what stupid thing did I do, and did I learn from it? In most cases, of course, but obviously in some...absolutely not. And its more fun that way!
Sooo what did I learn in 2007?
1. I love my friends. They are the best that anyone can ask for. Now, I know this is the crap every girl says, but I really do. What's great is that they all KICK ASS for completely different reasons. We'll see how I make it with TWO of them living a heck of a plane ticket and plane ride away.
2. I learned that even though you meet the nicest, most goodlooking-est guy you've every met, and he gets your number, AND seems completely interested....He's not. Why I didn't learn this my freshman year of college, I'll never know.
3. Get ahead. Get ahead in your job because you'll fall behind if you don't.
4. Give as much as you get. It actually feels better to give, then to get. (if you're actually human. I know some that are not and it will ALWAYS be ME ME ME ME.)
5. DON'T under any circumstances date another Theta Chi! Haven't you played with them enough already?
6. DON'T let anyone stay at your apt if you're not there. EVER.
7. Don't dance on the picnic table at Gallettes. Absolutely NOTHING good can come of that, i.e. the worst bruise imaginable even though I didn't feel it until the next day. oh...and you'll get pink eye too.
8. Probably my most valuable one of all...Be Honest...in every relationship you participate in. It will ALWAYS work out for the better.
That's all for now...I considered writing about how I rang in the New Years (there's a story with another bruise, someone might think that I beat myself up when I drink). However, I decided that I need to make the blog about more than my random rendezvous (sp?) with drinks and boys. :)
ciao
the joy that comes in the morning.
